Head Coach - Greg Morgan
Greg is beginning his 13th year as head coach of the Wildcats where he has compiled a record of 147-112. This places Greg at the top of the list for winningest coaches in Keystone basketball history.

Greg is a 1984 graduate of Keystone and a 1989 graduate of Mount Union College. He received his Masters of Education in Administration in 2005 from Ashland University.

Greg's resume starts at Mount Union where he served as a student assistant coach for the Purple Raiders for two seasons before moving over to State Street Middle School in Alliance where he coached junior high for two seasons. After graduation, Greg was hired to teach math at Keystone and coached the jv basketball team from 1989-1992 and moved to the varsity assistant position from 1992-1994 before being hired as the head coach in the 1994-95 season.

Career highlights for Greg include winning the first conference championship for Keystone since 1966 in the 1997-98 season, claiming the conference title in the 2003-04 season and leading the Wildcats to the first ever State Poll Championship and undefeated regular season in school history during that same season.

Greg has claimed numerous coaching awards during his tenure including being named conference coach of the year honors in the 1998, 2004, and 2005 seasons; county coach of the year honors in the 1995, 1998, 2003, 2004, and 2005 seasons; and the Ohio State Basketball Coaches Association Division II Coach of the year in 2004.

Greg has also served Keystone as the head golf coach from 1992-present garnering 5 consecutive conference championships from 2000-2005, and the head girls track coach where his team won the conference championship in 1994. Greg has served as the President of the Lorain County Boy's Basketball Coaches Association from 1999-2002.

Greg currently teaches in the CBI Program and resides in Penfield with his wife, Melissa, and their twin boys, Ian and Jacob.

Assistant Varsity Coach - Jeff Holzhauer
Jeff, a 1995 Keystone graduate and 2000 graduate of Muskingum College, is beginning his 5th year of coaching basketball, 2nd as the Assistant Varsity Coach. Jeff started out coaching the 8th grade program for 1 year before moving up to Head Freshman coach. His teams compiled a record of 36-16 during those 3 years.

Jeff also is the Head Cross Country Coach and Head Girls Varsity Track Coach at Keystone. He was also the assistant track and cross country coach at Muskingum College from 1999-2001. Jeff teaches social studies at the high school, he is currently engaged to Erin Shaw and will be married this coming summer. Jeff also has a new puppy.

 

Assistant Varsity Coach - Mike Conrad
Mike is a 1985 Keystone graduate and 1990 graduate of Tiffin University. He played two years of basketball at Baldwin Wallace and two years at Tiffin University. Mike graduated with a degree in Business Administration and has been active in youth sports for the past 15 years and has been a volunteer assistant for the varsity boys basketball team since 2000.

Mike has owned and operated Coastline Mortgage and Bayside Title in Elyria for the past 9 years and has been the president of the K.A.T.S organization since its inception in 1997.

Mike is married to his wife, Lois and they have three kids, MacKenzie, CJ and Austin.

 

Junior Varsity Coach - James Kohler -
James is in his 8th year of coaching at KHS, 6th year as JV coach. He coached a developmental team for one year at KMS while attending college.

After graduating from Baldwin Wallace he spent one year as KMS 8th grade coach. He then moved to Elyria Catholic and teamed up with current Firelands coach Steve Lias. While there his JV teams compiled a record of 36-24 and won the first ever Holiday Tournament at Elyria High School. As a Varsity Assistant he has coached in two district championships and a regional game.

James currently teaches 8th grade reading at Langston Middle in Oberlin. He received his Master's Degree from Bowling Green State University. He and his wife Susan reside in Sheffield Lake.

 

Freshmen Coach - David Leffew
David is a 1998 Graduate of Keystone High School and a 2002 graduate of Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. This is his second year of coaching at Keystone High School after two years as head coach of the Coastline Mortgage AAU Basketball Team with Keystone players Josh Jarrell, Aaron Lindstrom and Grant Nagy among other area standouts.

David is currently the Corporate Events Director for LACENTRE Conference Center in Westlake, OH. David and his wife Carrie live in Elyria, Ohio.

 

8th grade coach - Jim Bailosky

 

8th grade coach - Jay Dill
Jay is beginning his 7th year of coaching overall and 6th year coaching middle school at Keystone. Jay served as 7th and 8th grade Assistant before taking over as 8th grade coach in the 2004 season and continues the 2005 season as 7th grade coach. Jay also spent the 1993 season at Wellington as Varsity Assistant where he stayed for one year. Jay has also coached AAU teams for 2 years.

Jay and his wife Michele reside in LaGrange with their two sons Cody and Troy.
